Julie A. Smith

Julie Smith is the Chief Administrative Officer and Operating Partner at Bozzuto, where she leads strategy and oversight for the company’s Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, and Technology functions. With extensive expertise in brand building, talent development, and emerging technologies, she plays a central role in Bozzuto’s expansion into new markets and in evolving the brand to meet the needs of today’s customers.

Julie also directs the organization’s corporate philanthropy through Rise by Bozzuto, a program that empowers more than 4,200 employees to engage in community service across the regions where the company operates. Under her leadership, Rise fosters a culture of giving and meaningful community impact.

Since joining The Bozzuto Group in 1989, Julie has significantly shaped the company’s growth trajectory. As President of Bozzuto Management Company until 2016, she oversaw a $9 billion portfolio across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Southern regions.

Julie is an active leader in the real estate industry and philanthropic communities. She serves on the boards of Apartment List and the nonprofit Victory Housing and is an Advisory Board Member for the University of Maryland’s Master in Real Estate Development program. She is the former Chair of ULI Washington and is a member of the Governance Committee. She is the incoming Chair of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and an officer of the Real Estate Technology and Transformation Center (RETTC).
